Knotts Berry Farm Closes Early Saturday Night after Multiple Fights Breakout

Police said that the Knotts Berry farm was shut down due to fighting and multiple reports of shots being fired.Buena Park police reported that several 911 callers also reported shots being fired. However, investigators concluded there was no gunplay at Buena park.

Three people were reported injured by the Orange County Fire Authority in the firefights. Two of the victims were taken to local hospitals. The third person declined medical treatment.

For Knott’s Summer Nights, the park was to be open from 11 p.m. Saturday. It will reopen today.

The Buena Park Police stated that they are currently investigating an incident at Knott’s Berry Farm that involved multiple fights in the park. Numerous 911 callers reported a report of shots being fired. Officers arrived on the scene and found that there had been no shooting.

Authorities added a public advisory: “Knotts Berry farm has closed for the night. We ask that you avoid the area until further notice.”

FOX 11 Los Angeles reported shots fired reports were received around 8:45 PM. By 9 PM, the welcome gate lights had been turned off. Many fights were captured on social media.

The park stated that safety is our number one priority. Due to the unruly behavior of several teenagers, it was decided to close the park three hours earlier than normal on Saturday night. This behavior was contrary to our park’s values and it was not what we wanted for any visitor to Knott’s Berry Farm.
